Does anybody happen to know why they stopped airing Pittsburgh Sports Tonight on FSN in the middle of last year, and replaced it instead with Savran On Sportsbeat Latenight? Nothing against Stan, but PST always had up to the minute scores and highlights, wereas it's obvious that S.O.S.L. is taped right after the regular Sportsbeat airs at 7:30p.m. It just looks pretty silly when there is a game involving a local team is taking place on a night that it isn't broadcast on FSN, yet it is totally ignored by S.O.S.L. because the show was taped in advance. I wonder if it has something to do with the cost of running a live show, the cost of moving into their new digs on The North Shore, the fact that Stan was signed to a new contract with FSN-Pittsburgh right around the time they got rid of PST, et. all. Anybody know, willing to speculate?
